AGM 2018

We had our AGM on Tuesday June 5th. It was well attended with nearly 70 people, from other organisations, volunteers and some of our lovely service users.

Paul Martin took the chair and briskly moved through the agenda.

Our guest speaker was Estelle Worthington from 'Asylum Matters'. She talked about her organisation's campaign for political change in matters of asylum.

We had an annual report from the chair, the basis for his report is attached.

We had reports from Secretary, Treasurer and lead English teacher, then one of our newer triage volunteers, Ammar, explained his role as an assistant to our Caseworker.

Shaheda, our Caseworker gave her report, demonstrating parts with slides in PowerPoint, her report is attached as well as one of the slides.

Examples of our service users work were displayed near the stage and our teacher, Diana, gave a brief report.

At the end, all had refreshments, sandwiches, cakes and drinks.
