Refugee / Asylum Seeker Information

What We Can Do To Help

Those newly-arrived asylum seekers, such as the people you see on TV trying to hide in lorries and trains from Calais often arrive with little or nothing.

At the Destitution Project we provide those without any other support with:

• Basic food, store cupboard items, Toiletries, toilet paper, toothbrushes and toothpaste
• Good quality second hand clothes and if possible socks and shoes.

• Bedding
• A hot meal [available to all
• Informal English lessons
• A warm welcome and a smile!
• General information and signposting

Drop-In Centre

Our drop-in centre at the Victoria Hall (using the back entrance) is open Wednesdays from 10:00am until 3:30pm.
